Día De Los Muertos — A Celebration of Family, Love & Remembrance
For our family, Día De Los Muertos has always been much more than a holiday. It is a time to remember, to celebrate, and to honor the family members who came before us—the people whose love, traditions, and stories continue to be a part of who we are today.
With our family roots in Sonora, Mexico, Día De Los Muertos holds a special place in our hearts. It gives us an opportunity to reflect on those we have lost, share memories and stories, and celebrate the belief that the people we love never truly leave us. Their presence remains in the traditions we carry forward, the lessons they taught us, the laughter we remember, and the love that continues from one generation to the next.
That connection to family is also at the heart of Sonora Grande. Our salsa began with a family recipe passed down through generations, originating with our great-great-grandmother Carmen. Every jar we make carries a small piece of that history and the generations of family who helped shape the traditions we are so proud to share today.
This year, we are especially excited to share that tradition with our extended Sonora Grande family—our friends, customers, and communities—through our limited-edition Día De Los Muertos celebration label.
Our special edition label will be available online beginning September 16, and in stores September 19 - November 1.
As you bring a jar of Sonora Grande into your home, we hope it becomes part of your own celebrations, meals, stories, and memories. Most importantly, we hope this season gives each of us an opportunity to remember and honor those special family members and loved ones who remain forever close to our hearts.
To those who came before us, to those whose traditions we carry forward, and to those whose love continues to watch over us—we remember you, we celebrate you, and we carry you with us always.
From our familia to yours,
Abrazos,
The Sonora Grande Family
